We just cannot leave this cartilage the way it is. What we now need to do is finesse it at the end and soften the edges of the grafts around both sides to make the tip very soft so that it will look very natural. This will finish everything beautifully.
This graft is bent back a little bit on the right. I want to even that out so once again we have perfect symmetry.
It is very difficult to get a nose absolutely perfect but you really want to strive the best as you can during the first surgery because this is always your best shot. You have to take your time, go back and redo things, do whatever it takes. You just do it. You do not even think about it.
It is all these small little finesse things that take a long time but the point is that is what will get a nice result.
I will use the little pieces that I put around the graft to soften the edges of the graft. This will protect the edge of the graft for us. We are just going to drape a little bit of that tissue that we removed previously, just on the edge of the graft. Again, our goal is to make sure that this graft is not visible to the skin.
It is like construction. You have to look at the angle, the support, the foundation. It is very important that everything is put in properly.
Let’s just take a peek to see how we like everything. Perfect. It looks great. I like that a lot.
It are these small finishing touches which can take a good nose and make it a great nose.
