Hi. It’s Saturday. It’s the fifth day of my recovery from my surgery where they fixed…Dr. Nassif fixed my deviated septum and my smashed profile from when I broke my nose in first grade. I feel great. I haven’t been taking Vicodin except for at night ‘cause I’m assuming ‘cause all the pressure in here, like the cast and the splints and everything, sometimes at night, when I’m watching movies like with my family, my head starts to hurt and my nose up in the top feels a little discomfort and just so…‘cause there was one night where I woke in the middle of the night, feeling some pain… so I’ve just been taking Vicodin at night. But I have like two pills left and I don’t need to take it during the day. I don’t need it or the gauze. I just clean up my nose in the morning and the night, and I can talk and breathe and the stitches are healing nicely. Nothing hurts anymore. I can taste and eat normal foods and I just feel really normal except for having a cast on, but surprisingly it’s five days after and I already feel great and I’m sure once I get the cast off in three days, I’ll get it on Tuesday morning, it will be normal. There’s no swelling here. There’s minimal swelling that I can feel like right here in my cheeks, but it doesn’t hurt and I’m sure it will go down in like a week and then my nose doesn’t hurt at all. I’ve accidentally like grazed it a few times when putting on a shirt or getting something out of the cabinet and I can bump it accidentally and it doesn’t hurt.
Everything is going great. I have basically no more medicines left. I pretty much have like one pill left, one or two pills left of each medicine, so by tomorrow night I should be done with most of my antibiotics and anti-smelling stuff. So, next week I’m hoping or, well, this coming week, that I’ll be able to have my last week of summer and see my friends and such once I get the cast off. So, yeah, I’m doing great.
