Joseph: Hello. It is the first day after my nose surgery and I actually don’t really feel much pain at all which is great. The only thing that’s bugging me is my eyes are constantly watering and I’m not dripping very much, but I’m keeping this area just…just in case. And this morning, I…well, last night, I spent the night at Serenity which was an aftercare center and I had to do that because I got this rib graft, cartilage from my rib, put it inside my nose for more support, and because of that I had to stay at an aftercare center and it was really nice. All the nurses were helpful. They had really good food and a comfortable bed and a TV, so it was really great. And this morning I went into Dr. Nassif’s office and they cleaned up my nose a little bit and made sure everything was all right. And then he showed me some pictures of my nose that he took right after the surgery, and surprisingly it already looks straighter. Beforehand, my profile had…it went like this and then I had to dip and then the tip went out and it looked a little awkward and that’s because I smashed it. I fell off a table in first grade and smashed it and then I got it fixed. I had a deviated septum. So, basically, he straightened my septum and there was no support in the tip of my nose. It was…I could squish it down all the way and move it around, so we added a bunch of cartilage in there to add support as if the bone extended to the tip because it didn’t extend to the tip because I broke it.
So, I feel great. I’ve been…I irrigated my nose. My cousin brought me a smoothie today. I’ve been watching movies and relaxing and I feel great. So, today, is the first day after surgery and I feel as good as I’m hoping it will just continue getting better. So, yeah.
