Chin Implant Beverly Hills
The key to any facial aesthetic surgery, be it facelift, blepharoplasty or rhinoplasty, is to create facial harmony. The shape and projection of the chin and nose are critical to keep in balance. A small chin can make a normal-sized nose appear too big, particularly on profile view. In patients with small chins, we sometimes recommend a permanent silicone chin implant. Unlike silicone nasal implants, chin implants are placed much deeper beneath the skin and have a very low risk of infection or rejection by the body. Chin implants are placed through a small incision beneath the chin. These incisions heal exceedingly well. Many of the most impressive rhinoplasty results are in patients that have also had a chin implant.
This patient had a small chin that made her nasal hump look really big. After a hump reduction and chin augmentation, her face is in much better balance on profile view.
This patient’s chin implant made a huge difference in his post rhinoplasty result.
This man had a “tension nose” deformity pulling the upper lip forward, and small chin, which made his nose look large and pointy. After reducing the projection of the nose, and adding a chin implant, he has a much more attractive and masculine appearance. He also underwent submental liposuction.
